Minorplanet went into liquidation on 10th August 2010
But in mid August were taken over by VMS (Vehicle Management Systems) who are applying for Intelligent Access Program provider certification.
Minorplanet will be incorporated into VMS as a new company under the banner of VMS-Minorplanet.
Until the certification is successfully completed Minorplanet will continue the provide IAP services.
There is significant support from VMS shareholders for the new venture and they are committed to the GPS tracking business.

The CEO of Minorplanet, Steve Green, said: “We’re also happy to put an end to the speculation in the market, which has surrounded our business over the last couple of months.” he said.
